“CEC has a long history with Hato airport, going back to 2003 since the original expansion. However, Curaçao Airport Holding started working with CEC in 2013 when two airline companies approached us with a need for a hangar to accommodate their fleet. We brought CEC on board to work on the project. We wanted their input on architectural design for the hangar and commissioned them to take on the concrete structure calculations and the structural engineering for the hangar.
We spent a very intense period working together on the hangar project, establishing a solid partnership with them. We wanted to extend our collaboration by having them join us in overseeing the current airport expansion project, but CAP beat us to the punch. Still, we are pleased they are involved in the project as its structural engineers.
As we move forward with future projects, we will always want CEC to be a part of our team. We truly value Gamal’s technical expertise and project management style as well as George’s counsel on strategic moves.”
